luxury In bristol at berkeley suites

A couple of weeks ago Brad and I were invited to stay at the new Berkeley Suites which coincided nicely with Brad’s birthday. As part of the Berkeley Square Hotel, we were able to review the new apart hotel for you guys. I love living in Bristol so much, but I do sometimes wish we lived closer to town with everything on our door step. These new apart hotel rooms are like a (fancy and stylish) home from home, converted from beautiful Georgian town houses on the Berkeley Crescent. They make you feel like your renting your own private space, but yet you have the facilities and benefits of the hotel. The hotel is situated at the top of Park Street in Clifton with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep.

The rooms are decorated to a high standard, with all modern gadgets including a TV projector, espresso machine, there’s a full on kitchenette (cleverly concealed) and even a mini dishwasher, if perhaps you want  a romantic meal in? We made the most of the Square restaurant (which is part of the hotel) who have a fab menu and the food is delicious to say the least. We were also just around the corner from the famous Bristolian landmark, Cabot Tower so we enjoyed an evening stroll around the park and admired the view from the tower, although we got there too late to go up to the top.

Although the beds were just double beds (we’re used to our ridiculously over sized emperor bed!) we both slept amazingly well. The pillows were my fav, it’s rare to find the perfect pillow but I think they have nailed it, and now I’m on the hunt to find the same ones for home! The room was so dark and quiet too, it was one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a while. I even woke up bright and early feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. Brad had to shoot off for work early too so instead of going out for breakfast, we ordered room service which was delivered pretty speedy considering we rang down to reception before the kitchen had officially opened. The breakfast was as good as our main meal that evening, if not better, but that’s because breakfast is my fav.

The stay at Berkeley Suites was just what Brad and I needed, a lovely evening enjoying each others company out of the comfort of our home. We would definitely go back for another stay for another special occasion.

The guys at Berkeley Suites have also been kind enough to offer you a discount on your stay if quote ‘MERMAID’ when booking before 12th September 2015.
